(3) Select the “Channel Test” button from “Diagnostic Tests”. Select the center 1ch for transmission to allow the B image to be depicted with aperture 1ch. Since transmission aperture is 1ch, if the transmission circuit is defected by even 1ch, it can be observed as a black stripe of the B image as it is. Further in the M image, it is depicted using a specific 1ch, the missing channel can be identified. For receiving wave, any missing channel can be checked as well. How to use ① Connect the probe with no defective channel and select the B/M real mode. ② Select “Channel Test” from “Diagnostic Tests”. Display “CH-NUKE” to check missing channels by operating the upper slide bar at the upper part of dialog with transmission wave or reception wave set to 1ch. At this time, if the M image shows a black stripe, there is a missing channel. Note that, however, the probe itself may have a defective element. ③ After completing check, close the dialog and select the “Close” button from “Service Tools”. The message dialog appears. To return to the normal image mode, Freeze needs to be made ON/OFF. NOTE: To check both of transmission and reception waves, perform check with transmission or reception wave once, and then exit “Service Tools” and make Freeze ON/OFF and display “Channel Test” from “Service Tools” again to check missing channels for transmission or reception wave. 3 - 27 L1E-EA0389
